With over 100 books in the Skeleton Steve universe, and loads of lore surrounding all of my characters and the timeline of my various series, where in Diamodia should you start??
Welcome to the Skeleton Steve Universe!
Maybe you’re a kid picking up my books for the first time, or you’re already an avid Skeleton Steve reader that wants to dive into as much extra LORE as you can, or you’re a parent looking into my awesome adventure books for your middle grade kiddo and are wondering … where to start…?
The Timeline – Where to Start Reading?

Here, I’ll give you a summary, as of 2026, of the various series I have in my Skeleton Steve universe, where would be a good place to start reading, and how to chronologically connect the dots of my sprawling timeline and my various characters and their own unique stories.
Across my books, I have many series that show the adventures of many characters, and, with the exception of a few series that aren’t on the timeline (which I’ll go over in the end), the series all follow an order, and often cross over, where you can see different parts of the same story from different points of view.
Warning: I’ve written this summary to be as spoiler-free as possible, but simply discussing the timeline at all involves minor spoilers, because if you know that happens in the future, even a little, it won’t be a surprise. So, if you don’t want to ruin the surprise, stop reading this, and get back to reading the books!
With that said, my Diamodia timeline starts with the original Enderman Ninja series.
Beginning
– The Enderman Ninja Trilogy

The story of Elias the Enderman ninja and where he got his start, doing his Seed Stride and being sent on a mission to investigate some Endermen deaths around Nexus 426, takes place before my Noob Years series or anything else. In the original Enderman Ninja trilogy, we follow Elias back when he was just an initiate ninja, eventually teams up with some Minecraftians, and goes to battle against the Skeleton King.
The Enderman Ninja series is definitely the best place to start if you’re looking to dive into the full experience of my books and series, because it’s basically the beginning of the timeline.
Next
– The Noob Years Season One

At the end of the Enderman Ninja series, where Skeleton Steve is essentially ‘born’ and starts his own adventures, that’s where my next and best-selling series begins, Skeleton Steve – the Noob Years. The Noob Years is my most important series, because it goes on for a long time, and is still continuing with six seasons published and at least eight seasons planned. This series, which has over 36 books in it at this point, continues from its origin through the entire timeline, crossing over into my other series here and there, season by season.
If you’re just trying to get your kid into something fun and easy to read and don’t care about starting with the Enderman Ninja series (which I recommend), Noob Years Season 1 Episode 1 is another good place to start. That first book is also always free to read.
So, after the Enderman Ninja series, we go through Noob Years Season 1. During Season 1, Skeleton Steve and Elias make friends with Zebulon the zombie knight, and eventually, Slinger the Spider.
Next
– The Noob Years Season Two

After Season 1, we move into Season 2, where we meet Minecraft Steve, the immortal guardian of Diamodia. In Season 2, we are also introduced to the fearsome Doomstreak Clan of evil Endermen ninjas from another universe.
At the end of Noob Years Season 2, this is where the timeline starts to converge into different series.
Next (Multiple Series)
– The Noob Years Season Three
– Elias vs the Doomstreak Clan
– Beginning of the Chicken Battle Steed

During Noob Years Season 3, this is also the time when Sir Zebulon the little zombie knight leaves Zombietown to start a journey that starts with him meeting Cluckington the chicken, and eventually out West, where he’ll find Skeleton Steve far from home.
If you’re a parent looking for a good first series for your kid to start with, the Chicken Battle Steed is also a good one. It’s very fun for kids, starts easy, and gets deeper as it goes on. But your kiddo can safely get into this one without breaking the timeline, and if they love it, you can go back to Enderman Ninja and continue from the beginning.
Next (Multiple Series)
– The Noob Years Season Four
– Teenage Zombie Villager
– Book 2 of the Chicken Battle Steed (crosses over)
– Skonathan the Skeleton Swordsman, Season 1

After Noob Years Season 3, this is also where we see a fan favorite, Skonathan the skeleton swordsman, split off into his own series, starting a new adventure away from Skeleton Steve after the Season 3 finale. I’m currently writing the Skonathan series, and he has left Diamodia for now, traveling into other video game universes! In his new series, his dimension-shifting adventures starts with another game that you probably know: Terraria. It will be a long time before Skonathan sees Skeleton Steve again. After Terraria? Who knows? Well, I know. But you don’t know. You’ll have to wait and see!
Next (Multiple Series)
– The Noob Years Season Five
– Books 3 and 4 of the Chicken Battle Steed

After the events of Noob Years Season 4, we move into Season 5, where Skeleton Steve moves into Angel Valley to live with the Minecraftians for a while. During this time, the Chicken Battle Steed series goes through its last two books.
Next (Multiple Series)
– The Noob Years Season Six
– The Creeper King Series
– Slinger the Spider Series

Even though the Noob Years series has grown very deep and more mature by this point, the Creeper King Series–the same events but from the perspective of Cth’ka the Creeper King–is another good series to start with for kids. In fact, book one of this series was the first Skeleton Steve book I ever wrote! Like with Chicken Battle Steed, this series starts off casual and easy to read for kids–it’s even illustrated–then as the series continues, it gets deeper and more challenging. If you’re looking for an easy entry point, you can start your kid on Creeper King Book 1, then, if he loves the series, go back to Enderman Ninja and continue from there.
Next
– The Noob Years Season Seven (planned)
– The Noob Years Season Eight (planned)
– The Lone Wolf Series

At the time of creating this, I haven’t written Noob Years Season Seven or Eight yet, but they’re planned out, and they’re coming, eventually. War is coming to Diamodia, and all of the characters my readers love will be involved.
The final original series of mine takes place during Noob Years Season 8, which according to where I am right now, writing the Noob Years, is in the future of the timeline:
The Lone Wolf Series. The story of Dakota the young wolf takes place after all of the important stuff that happened during Noob Years Season 6, in the future, after Skeleton Steve and all of his friends are together again, during the beginning of the war against the Glitch. After the events of Creeper King, the Steve has moved to Ahimsa Village, and that’s where Dakota and his new wolf friends join him and make their new pack.
Other Planned Series
– Worla the Witch
– Zarek the Zombie

Worla the witch. Her story is complicated, and it spans across the timeline. It will be a four-book series, starting with her origin story before the events of the Teenage Zombie Villager, then moving forward from there, finishing somewhere in Noob Years Season 7 or 8.
There’s also Zarek the Zombie, Cth’ka’s loyal warrior bodyguard. His series will be an origin story about how he became such an interesting and different zombie, where he got his katana, and ultimately, how he ended up in that hole in the ground where Cth’ka originally met him in the Creeper King series. This will take place before the Creeper King series, before Noob Years Season 6.
Series Unrelated to the Diamodia Timeline:
– Jack the Kid
– The Skull Kids
– Warrior Villager
– Cree the Wimpy Creeper

- Jack the Kid is focused on a real kid from our reality becoming trapped in a modded version of Minecraft, where he lives with Steve and Alex from the normal game, along with several Minecraftians that originate from reader suggestions along the way.
- The Skull Kids follows three Minecraftians–basically the novelization of some of my own personal Minecraft games with friends in the past. Real games converted into a fun story with screenshots. They’re not related to my Diamodia universe.
- And then there are my two fan-collaboration series: the Warrior Villager and the Wimpy Creeper. These were fun, casual, and funny series where I collaborated with two different fans to come up with ideas together and bring them to life. They’re very popular, especially Warrior Villager, and they’re not related to my Diamodia timeline at all. Easy reads for kids.
So, there you go!
As of the time of creating this, there is the current Diamodia timeline, where to begin, what’s in the timeline and what’s not, and what’s coming next.
Whew!

If you’re a parent, I’ll summarize again for you a good place for your middle-grade kid to start reading:
- Enderman Ninja is a great starting place, is literally the beginning of my timeline, and the first book is free.
- The Noob Years Season One Episode One is another great starting place, and will pull your kid into a long, epic story that spans across multiple series. If they read Noob Years first, they can go back to all of the other series later and read more of the story from other perspectives.
- Chicken Battle Steed is another good one to start with, with a book 1 that is very friendly to younger readers. I also illustrated that one, so your kiddo will get to see some cool pictures alongside the story. Psst–Book 1 comes free when you join my newsletter, the Skeleton Steve Club!
- Creeper King is just like Chicken Battle Steed in that it’s a safe starting place with a first book very friendly to younger readers, with pictures as well.
- Finally, if you’d like a series to start with that isn’t attached to the Diamodia timeline, Skull Kids, Warrior Villager, and Wimpy Creeper are all easy, casual, funny reads, good for starting readers. Jack the Kid is more complex and is great for older middle-grade kids just like Jack himself.
Now, you should know where to go. Feel free to ask any questions by email!
