When I first started writing Devdan’s story, I didn’t expect so many readers to connect with a teenage zombie who just wants to be normal again. But here we are—Book 2 dives deep into the heart (and rotting soul) of Devdan’s journey to fix his “zombie problem.” And honestly, haven’t we all had days where we felt a little undead before our morning coffee?

This chapter in the Minecraft diary series brings together some of my favorite characters—Skeleton Steve, Sir Zebulon, and even Mr. Whiskers the cat—for a sneaky, emotional, and sometimes hilarious adventure that’s part heist, part heart-to-heart. And yes, there’s a witch (because what’s a good Minecraft story without a witch offering a deal you’ll probably regret?).

I had so much fun exploring what it means for Devdan to face his past—especially now that he knows who he is and what happened to his family.
