Season 1, Episode 4 is where things start to get weird—and by weird, I mean spiders, lost tunnels, strange noises, and a mystery that just keeps going deeper. What starts as a harmless bit of exploration turns into a full-on adventure that would make even the bravest player wish they’d brought a few extra torches (and maybe a backup pickaxe).
When I was writing this story, I wanted to capture that mix of curiosity and dread every Minecraft player feels when they stumble upon something that shouldn’t be there. A lone stone tower? On top of a mountain? Yeah, that’s definitely not suspicious. I also loved introducing Slinger the Spider—he was one of those characters who sort of wrote himself into the story. A fan actually suggested him, and now he’s a favorite! He’s loyal, funny, and surprisingly brave for a creature most players immediately swat at.
