This first book is where I teamed up with my tall, teleporting pal Elias the Enderman Ninja for the first time, and our adventure in the weird, not-quite-right Zombie Village set the tone for everything that came after. Writing this one felt like discovering my own Minecraft diary style—equal parts action, mystery, and random mob weirdness (and a lot of questionable decisions involving baby zombies).
